Today the Ainu delegates and supporters left for Aotearoa today in two groups, one from Chitose via Osaka, and the other from Tokyo. They will spend 5 weeks studying Maori practices in the areas of media, culture, politics, language, education, tourism and business. They will not simply observe, but actually experience how Maori people approach these areas with the hope that they will bring back some fresh ideas to put to use in their own communities.
今日、アイヌ研修団とそのサポーターが二つのグループに分かれ、アオテアロアへ向けて出発しました。千歳から関西空港を経由するグループと、成田からのグループです。５週間、メディア、文化、政治、言語、教育、観光、ビジネスの分野での、マオリの実践について学びます。研修団は、それぞれの分野でマオリがどのようにアプローチしているのかをただ見学するのではなく、実際に体験してみて、新しいアイデアを日本にも帰って、自分たちのコミュニティで実践したいと思っています。
